You Know Your Married When....

So people say when your get married your whole life changes, and let me tell you that they are not kidding!!! Before I got married I was completely okay with staying up late or spending weekends out, going to dinner with friends, shopping or going to see movies. When I was not out doing those things I going to school, or at home relaxing watching one of my many favorite television shows like One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl!

Since the wedding I now enjoy going to bed at 9 almost every night, spending my weekends at Home Depot or doing yard work and my new favorite show...Rachel Ray! ha ha I would have never thought that at 21 years old I would find joy in watching Rachel Ray while folding laundry and taking notes on good cooking ideas!!

So when it's all said and done you know your married when you would rather cook and clean and your new favorite place to shop is at a home improvement store!!!

Adventures Of Newlyweds!!!

So since I am just now starting to blog I figured I could keep you up to date on what has been happening in the lives of the Armstrong's. So far we have been married 5 wonderful months, but needless to say they have not been without some excitement. In our first few months of marriage I started to explore and find things that I was not so good at!! For example; I am incredible at cleaning a house - - - - - just ask my husband : ) - - - - -  but when it comes to the simply task of doing laundry.... let's just say I'm lacking! Knowing this going in I decided to surprise my husband with perfectly clean and pressed clothes right when we got back from our Honeymoon! So me being the genius that I am I decided to take all, and I mean ALL of our clothes straight from our suitcase to the cleaners. In my defense in my mind I was thinking: "The commercials says like $0.35 a shirt so this will be super cheap and easy, and Alex will love it!!" To my surprise a few hours later I get a call to come and pick up our clothes and to pay the $110 dry cleaning bill. Try telling that to your new hubby; "umm sweetheart I accidentally spent $110 at the dry cleaners!!" So from my escapades with laundry to my adventures in the kitchen I can honestly say that married life has been anything but boring!!

Things to look forward to... well we just bought a house back in January so now we get to experience buying furniture, painting, and landscaping!!! Just so you know planting flowers and re-landscaping the entire yard; a lot harder than it sounds!! I am finding muscles that I didn't even know existed!!
